In addition to the connection to the telephone network or the convergent voice/data network, DAKS also supports the connection of a VoIP-based sub-system (e.g. a modern nurse call system in a hospital) or up to 1,000 directly connected SIP-based call stations, PA couplers or SIP telephones on the secondary connection side.
DAKS integrates the terminal devices on the secondary connection side so that alarm processes can also be started from that end. As a gateway, DAKS also enables any call connections from subscribers in the telecommunications network to the extension side and vice versa.
